Introduce a sanctions regime to ensure compliance with the digital charter: Pending
Give regulators the ability to fine or prosecute those companies that fail in their legal duties, and to order the removal of content where it clearly breaches UK law.

The introduction of a digital charter was included in the Queen's speech but as of yet, GovTracker has no evidence on its progress. Matt Hancock, the minister for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, has since reaffirmed Government proposals for a Digital Charter which will include this sanctions regime.
