Extend the scope of the CQC to cover the health-related services commissioned by local authorities: Completed
The CQC is the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England.

The CQC has been commissioned to examine 12 local authorities, and will be commissioned to examine 8 more, in order to make recommendations on the health services provided by local authorities. Thus, the scope of the CQC has been extended to cover Local Authorites, and therefore this promise has been completed.
