We will pilot a Housing First approach to tackle rough sleeping: Pending
A Housing First approach is when homeless persons are immediately housed in their own apartments under the hypothesis that the most urgent need of a homeless person is a stable environmnent. This compares to the step by step processs currently applied in the UK where a homeless person is placed in a shelter and then is incrementally moved closer to independent living over a matter of months. This is part of a larger promise to halve rough sleeping over the course of the parliament and eliminate it altogether by 2027.

The Government co-funded Crisis' 'Housing First report', and have intimated that they remain committed to this promise.
